Like Father, Like Sons

Blanton Hamilton, Sr. brought his two sons, Wake and Blanton Jr., along with their friend, Lee, to fish and hang out at Small Hope Bay Lodge. The boys enjoyed their male bonding time while out bonefishing, playing ping pong and chess in the Lodge and journeying out to Goat Cay for a scuba lesson with Divemaster Amanda.

Young at Heart

Anne and 15 of her family members came together at SHBL to celebrate Anne's 60th birthday in style. They cut loose during the week, relaxing on the beach, trying diving for the first time, kayaking and giving the windsurfer a try.

On her birthday, Anne's family decorated the dining room with streamers and she was serenaded by Jeff and some of the staff when her birthday cake was brought into the room.

Eight Is Great

"Just finished an eighth in a row return to Small Hope, a place slightly off the beaten track, where interesting people find an eddy in space and time and enjoy a continuity of a vacation experience.

Jeff and Mike are in their usual mode of letting me off the leash enough to go crazy and try and find a way back to my long lost youth. (Editor's Note: Johnny has never been old!)

Fish were plentiful, weather was incredible (it is winter ya know), finally stretched a vacation to a full two weeks that allowed me to get a full charge back in my boogie battery which will allow me to do battle yet again back in the real world.

Got in two margarita parties (the proprietors for some reason allow me to light up all the guests on an annual basis.)

Love all the people, will miss Renauldo who is finally moviing on after a five year stint.

Setting Sail at Small Hope Bay Lodge

Some of our intrepid guests decided to give our windsurfer a try this week. After a short lesson from Jeff, the guests headed out to try their hand at windsurfing. There was a lot of splashing, tons of laughter and eventually, we had some windsurfing pros out on the water.

Repeat guest Johnny made his famous margaritas at cocktail hour last night. John squeezes all the lime juice fresh himself and makes up the margaritas for all the guests. There was nothing better than relaxing at the outside bar in the warm evening, watching the color of our gorgeous Bahamian sea change as the sun went down. Spring Forward

Small Hope Bay guests enjoyed the extra daylight brought by the time change by having cocktail hour outside on the patio. Conch fritters and Mike's famous Screeching Black Monkeys were enjoyed by all! Pin It Now!
