Gar “The Real Star” takes a moment to pose for Mark Evans, Editor of the U.K. Sport Diver Magazine, in front of the crane, one of the three structures sunk by AUTEC in 1988 that make up The Marion dive site. Small Hope's Hot Tub on the Beach
Divers relaxing in the hot tub after a full day of diving. The Three Amigos “Nico, Jerry and Jim” have been diving all around the world together and finally had a chance to explore the diving here on the Tongue of the Ocean. The couple on the left, Stephanie and Steven, are return visitors to Andros, they were here a few years ago volunteering at the Forfar Field Station, where they were immersed in the culture of the island and learned about the local flora and fauna, scuba diving, sailing, windsurfing and snorkeling

Bahamas Birthday's
Our guest, Aly Canestrai, celebrated her 30th birthday here at Small Hope Bay Lodge. She was surprised with a specially made cake, designed for her birthday taste buds, along with lots of singing, clapping, bongo drumming and various improvised instruments made from kitchen utensils.

Diving: Tongue of the Ocean
One of our U.K. divers, Dave Goddard, gets an up close look at a friendly Hawksbill Turtle swimming by on Whip Wire Wall (Aka WWW).
The wall starts at 90ft and is a shear vertical drop down into a 6,000ft deep trench. WWW is just one section of what is called the Tongue of The Ocean, a 6,000ft trench that runs parallel with the entire coast of Andros Island, ending in a bowl.
